Description
The recovery ropes are designed for recovery or towing off-road and for extending winch ropes. They are available in various lengths and diameters. Permissible working load and minimum breaking load result from the diameter. A 250 mm long soft eye is spliced into each end of the recovery cable. A high-strength polyester cover with high abrasion resistance protects the inner synthetic rope from damage. The splice is also separately sheathed. The breaking load is certified in South Africa.
The advantage of rescue ropes is a high strength/weight ratio and low stretch. The low weight and the high flexibility reduce the risk of injury, the recoil in the event of a break is minimal.
The rescue ropes with breaking loads of 8 and 12 tons are made of synthetic fibers pre-dyed by Wild Dog 4×4. This makes the products stronger, more UV-resistant and lightfast. The fading compared to recovery ropes colored after production was drastically reduced by this procedure.
All recovery ropes come with a bag. In comparison to rescue straps, stowage is done in seconds, as no time-consuming rolling up is necessary.
Available in lengths of 5, 10, 15 and 20 metres, each with breaking loads from 2,000 to 100,000 kg. With a safety factor of 4, the working load is between 1,000 and 25,000 kg. The diameters are between 9 and 46 mm.
