PRODUCT NOT AVAILABLE?
No need to worry, the high demand could mean that the desired product is currently not in stock. However, since we order most products in advance, the desired product may arrive soon. Just write us an email with your request and we will tell you when the goods are expected.
HOW LONG DOES THE DELIVERY TAKE?
We regularly receive goods from Alu-Cab. Our customer advisors will be happy to tell you exactly when the desired product will arrive. Please note that some new orders may take up to 12 weeks or more.
HOW CAN I ORDER IF THE PRODUCT IS NOT AVAILABLE?
You can now order or pre-order products that we have in stock or products that we are about to receive. If products are not available from us, simply contact us by email.
HOW LONG IS THE WARRANTY FOR THE PRODUCTS?
We give you a two-year warranty on all Alu-Cab products.
CAN I GET A VAT REFUND?
Items used to equip a means of transport and items of equipment that are not permanently installed in a means of transport are excluded from the tax exemption under Article 146.
For this reason, we have decided on a uniform regulation for all customers. We generally do not refund any tax, as it is not possible to make a precise distinction between items of equipment and pure camping/off-road items.
ALU-CAB CROSS MEMBER FOR MY ROOFTOP TENT?
For the Alu-Cab Gen3.1 rooftop tent, our Alu-Cab cross members with a length of 1450mm are best suited. Which feet (40mm or 60mm) is up to you. If you would still like to use other cross members, please send us an inquiry in advance. However, the roof tent must not touch the roof of the vehicle, otherwise scratches and friction will occur. Especially with pickups, the rule "the lower the better" doesn't apply. In case of a pickup, the roof tent should never connect the rear and the cabin. Since these are separate vehicle parts, this would lead to tension in the tent.
CAN THE BEDLINER STAY DURING THE ASSEMBLY?
For the hardtop and canopy camper installation, the original bedliner can remain in the car, but in some cases (e.g. with overrail tubs) it would have to be cut out in order to get to the original attachment points. Our recommendation would be to take them out, as they can no longer be removed after assembly and they usually only take up space if the interior is precisely fitted.
We recommend to remove the bedliner for the Khaya cabin.
CAN I ASSEMBLE THE ROOFTOP TENT AFTER PICKING IT UP ON MY OWN?
We would gladly assemble the rooftop tent for you in our workshop. Upon collection the tent will be packed up in a box, which you receive at our goods issue. You are responsible for ensuring that the box fits into your vehicle or trailer and that the load is secured. A possibility of "self-assembly" is not permitted on the company premises.
WHAT ABOUT A REAR BAR AND ROLLER BLIND AT HARDTOP / CANOPY / KHAYA CAMPER ASSEMBLY?
For the hardtop, khaya camper and canopy camper assembly, the platform must be free of all attachments such as brackets, cross members, roller blinds or tailgate. The dismantling is usually possible without any problems at home before the assembly. If dismantling is not possible on your part, our workshop team can do this for a fee. You should bring a trailor if you want to take a roller blind and / or bracket with you.
SLIDING WINDOWS FOR HARDTOPS?
Most hardtops have the option of replacing the front window with a sliding window.
Exception 1: hardtop Mitsubishi L200. Since this hardtop is built very low, no sliding windows can be installed.
Exception 2: Because of the reinforced long side flaps, side windows cannot be installed in the hardtop Land Cruiser.
WHERE CAN I MOUNT THE AWNING?
There are several standard brackets for the Alu-Cab 270 ° awning:
Awning on the Alu-Cab roof tent
Awning on Alu-Cab lifting roof (Icarus & Hercules)
Awning on the roof rack of Front Runner or Rhino Rack K9 (not NG)
Awning on Alu-Cab crossbars and Rhino Rack crossbars
