Triple-R Series: LED Lamps

Developed based on the requirements of professional motorsport, the TRIPLE-R SERIES LED lamps set a new standard. The lamps are available in five sizes from four to 28 LEDs, each with 11 watts of power and in three versions. They have a full-aluminum housing in black, a Gore-Tex ventilation membrane and electronic temperature management, through which the individual LEDs can always be operated in the optimal power range. The special vacuum metallized reflectors further increase optical efficiency. The front is made of almost indestructible polycarbonate.

Spotlight emission has been optimised to a maximum range according to the requirements of rally and endurance motorsport, which is driven at very high speeds, by means of reflectors specially shaped for each LED. While the ST and T-series lamps also illuminate the roadside directly in front of the vehicle, the Triple-R lamps are optimized for range and only reach the maximum lateral illumination from about half the range. Compared to the hybrid light emission of the ST and T-series, however, the brightness value is up to five times higher at the top.

Due to the mounting position of the LEDs and the indirect radiation via the hat reflectors, there are lower vertical changes in the light cone during the journey. This results in better visibility in rain or fog compared to conventional lamps with LEDs in the center of the reflector. Careful adjustment of the light temperature leads to sharper contrast limits and improves visibility.

The Triple-R Standard Series models use high-intensity 11-watt LEDs, as well as the ST and T-series.

The iconic Triple-R series will be upgraded for 2020/21. With the latest high-efficiency LED technology, the Triple-R series is a high-performance driving light that delivers a spot beam pattern suitable for both road and off-road applications. Subtle styling updates have led to a clean contemporary design, with a more aggressive edge to customize the aesthetic design on modern vehicles. With the possibility to connect a white or yellow position light function, the styling and safety advantages of the second generation of the Triple-R series are furtherimproved.

The attachment is done via a central, movable bracket that can be mounted at the top or bottom. Optionally, a side fastening kit is available. The connection cable has a length of 70 cm, plugs are supplied.

ECE approval

Triple-R 750 up to Triple-R 1250 models are approved as lamps in accordance with ECE regulation. Unique for an approved lamp is the E-Boost technology implemented by Triple-R Elite (750, 850, 1000 and 1250) models, an innovation that is found in the Lazer Lamps lamps for the first time worldwide. Outside public roads, the lamps can be switched to full power by plugging in the so-called Boost Cap. The range then increases by up to  1500 meters, depending on the model. Due to the flexible configuration of the lamps, these can be used both as legal lamps and as LED light beams. The installation of an additional light bar can be omitted. The Triple-R lamps with position light are also approved as position lights and lamps in accordance with The ECE regulation.

Attachment lenses

With the attachment lenses called Reeded Lens, the beam angle of the triple-R lamps can be increased from 5° to, depending on the model, from 10° to 30°. Thus, the lamps can be used, for example, both on the road and in off-road applications, where wider radiation is desired. If, for example, four lamps are mounted in both horizontal and vertical arrangement as cornering light in rally vehicles, then the dark zones resulting from the attachment can be illuminated by two lenses. The Reeded Lens is made of acrylic glass, covers 4 LEDs and is fastened with clamps. A seal prevents dirt and water from getting between the lens and the lamps glass. The Reeded Lens can also be mounted on lamps with more than 4 LEDs and then give them a hybrid radiation profile.

Yellow lenses

Yellow light provides better visibility in fog, rain and snowfall. The reason for this is the approximately 15% reduction in blinding by reducing the short-wave blue and violet light components, because these are broken more strongly than the longer-wave yellow light components. The yellow lenses are made of acrylic glass, cover 4 LEDs and are fastened with four brackets. A seal prevents dirt and water from getting between the lens and the lamps glass. The lenses can also be mounted on lamps with more than 4 LEDs and then, depending on the mounted model, give them a hybrid radiation profile.

The Lazer Easy Mount system allows the lamps to be mounted in three different ways: standing, hanging and sideways. The lamps are waterproof to IP67.
