Manufactured using the rotational molding process, the EdgeOut offers unparalleled robustness thanks to its outer shell, despite being extremely lightweight. The high-quality PE-LLD plastic, with its cavities filled with foam insulation of the same material, creates a camper suitable for all regions and temperatures. The outer shell is corrosion-, weather-, and UV-resistant, recyclable, and also exhibits high resistance to cold impact.

Basic Equipment

The ladder frame of the EdgeOut comes equipped with towing and braking technology from Knott. Vehicle safety is guaranteed through high-quality components.

The wheel-tire combination with 16" rims and 235/65/R16 all-terrain tires enables travel even off conventional roads. Additionally, thanks to the snowflake symbol, tire changes are unnecessary when seasons change.

With the built-in 110L water tank, water supply is not an issue even on longer trips. Positioned above the axle, the water tank ensures perfect balance, eliminating concerns about weight distribution.

The two rear adjustable supports provide a secure stance, while the four maneuvering handles enable easy and uncomplicated maneuvering of the trailer.

Exterior

The exterior of the EdgeOut trailer impresses with extensive amenities for relaxed travel and camping.

The spacious storage box and the roof rack system on top provide ample space and utility for transporting larger items. The cover of the storage box can be easily secured to keep stored items easily accessible.

The outdoor shower with a retractable showerhead is located on the driver's side, with the water tank filling and connection on the passenger side.

The spare tire holder at the rear provides space for a full-size spare tire in case of a flat.

The two entry doors can be locked from the outside and inside, feature an integrated storage net, and a convenient sliding window. The included mosquito net ensures good ventilation and keeps pesky insects away from the bed. The side lighting, controllable from inside, ensures a safe entry even at night.

Interior

The EdgeOut trailer impresses with its comfortable and functional interior.

At its core is the 10cm thick queen-size pocket spring mattress, which can be easily folded thanks to its double design. Beneath it are three storage compartments, providing ample space for items that don't need to be constantly within reach.

On each side of the doors, there is a bedside table with a light switch for yellow or white LED exterior lighting, as well as two USB ports. The adjustable backrest allows for upright sitting, while the reading lamp provides the necessary brightness for reading.

The view of the starry sky through the panoramic window can only be restricted, if desired, by the rollable window cover.

The spacious storage cabinets at the foot end are positioned on the axle, eliminating concerns about the tongue weight. In the left compartment, part of the electrical system is conveniently housed within reach (control box and solar charge controller).

In the middle, there are additional USB ports, a 12V cigarette lighter socket, and two 230V outlets. Optionally, the control for the 2KW diesel heater can also be found here, along with a battery monitor. This allows the battery to be controlled both via the Victron app and manually.

The passive ventilator on the ceiling ensures pleasant airflow even with closed doors, while an opening at the foot end on the right side brings warm air from the optional heater into the cabin.

Adjacent to the door on the passenger side is an additional narrow storage compartment. On the opposite side, at this location, is the space for the shower faucet.

Kitchen

The EdgeOut rear outdoor kitchen is perfect for all outdoor cooking pleasures!

The storage compartments with lightweight felt covers, some with pull-out trays, as well as the practical straps, provide space for all kinds of utensils.

The 12V cigarette lighter socket and the two USB ports offer various options for powering your devices.

The work surface, extending over the entire width of the trailer, is perfect for cutting and serving.

Below, on the left side, is a pull-out drawer providing space for a cooler box and an additional compartment for utensils. Since the drawer can be fully extended, a top-loading cooler box can also be connected and used here.

The kitchen unit with three pull-out drawers is mounted on a heavy-duty slide, capable of handling any weight. While the bottom drawer provides space for cups or pots with its plastic insert, the middle drawer is perfect for cutlery.

On top, securely integrated for travel, is the Dometic double-flame gas cooker with a glass cover.

Mounted on the side is the collapsible faucet and a foldable holder for the included collapsible sink. The water drainage is located at the bottom right.

Above the work surface, or rather on the rear door, is a kitchen roll holder, always within reach.

Electrics

Genesis Import installs the electrical system and its components in their in-house workshop, as only this approach guarantees an EU-compliant and customer-friendly solution with short distances.

The DC/DC charge controller allows easy charging of the battery via the alternator while driving.

On the roof, there are connectors for a solar panel, and on the side, an additional Anderson connector is available for a foldable panel, both functioning via Plug'n'Play.

The difference between the Basic and Comfort variants lies in the optionally available electrical system. While the Basic version comes with only an 80AH AGM battery, the Comfort version features a lithium battery for higher energy performance. The battery, regardless of the model, is positioned under the kitchen unit on the left side (space for 33 x 17 x 21.5 cm batteries).

In the same storage space, the optional heater of the Comfort version is located, thereby supporting the functionality of the battery, especially in colder regions, thanks to its generated heat.

On the opposite side, to the right of the kitchen, there is sufficient space for the Comfort 5L water heater, which is powered by the battery with 12V as standard. This ensures energy-efficient hot water for showering and washing.

Additional features of the Comfort variant include the mains power connection with associated 230V outlets in the kitchen and the MPPT solar charge controller.

Accessories

Regardless of the model, our EdgeOut can be upgraded with various optional accessories.

An axle upgrade easily provides the trailer with a 100 km/h approval.

For a more private shower experience, there's a shower cabin that can be attached to the rack system.

A perfectly fitting rooftop tent expands the trailer's travel capacity from two to four people.

With the awning, you can provide ample shade and protection on the side, creating the ideal relaxation spot for the day.

Solar panels enable true autonomous travel, ensuring a constant power supply and battery charging.

The spare tire is the savior in case of a breakdown emergency, especially on remote paths where a flat tire could disrupt plans.

A cooler box is an absolute must for cool drinks and optimal storage of your food items.

Basic or Comfort?

Statement of the jury

The jury honors the EdgeOut teardrop or mini-camper trailer for its innovative construction consisting of two separate rotation-molded polyethylene modules for the sleeping and cooking areas, mounted on a trailer chassis. This construction not only allows for a lightweight and robust design but also offers high recyclability. The dual-color scheme of the modules highlights the different functional areas, while the modern, faceted design of the entire trailer defines its aesthetic appearance.

Particular emphasis is placed on the striking exterior design of the EdgeOut, which embodies robustness and mobility through its innovative manufacturing, attracting attention.
