Alu-Cab Roof Tray Table Slide Brackets

A unique feature of the aluminum cross member from Alu-Cab is the T-slot on the long side. With the roof basket, this is used to mount the basket between two cross members. With a height of just 33 mm, it is barely higher than the crossbars themselves. It does not protrude upwards and therefore does not limit the mounting options on the crossbars. It is hardly noticeable and has almost no influence on the air resistance.  This bracket is attached to the underside of the crossbars using M8 hex head screws.

3 ammo boxes can be comfortably accommodated on the roof basket. Cargo can be secured using ratchet straps. Five slots on each long side of the basket are used for the passage of straps for secure attachment. The basket is designed with four holes suitable for easy installation of Maxtrax™ Mountin Pin brackets for the MKII sand ladders. Two brackets for the RotopaX™ petrol and water canisters can be screwed onto further holes. Canisters up to a size of 3 gallons can be attached, which corresponds to approx. 11 litres. To attach your own brackets or objects, you can easily drill holes in the roof basket or use the side retaining screws in the C-slot of the cross member. Ring eyelets can be pushed into the groove of the two crossbeams to brace the load.  

Attached to the underside of the crossbeams, the table insert serves to accommodate an aluminum cab work and camping table and makes perfect use of the space between the roof basket and the vehicle. A lock secures the table from slipping out.   

The roof basket with slide-in table can be used on all Alu-Cab products with C-rails on the roof mounted:  

• Hardtop Explorer 3  

• Hardtop Adventure 3  

• Roof Tent Expedition 3  

• Khaya Camper  

The table can be mounted or removed in two different ways:

1) To the rear

The 40mm feet could also be used here. The distance between the two brackets is derived from the width of the table.

2) Side

Here you need the 60mm aluminum cab feet. The distance between the two crossbeams is derived from the width of the table. In addition, the table must also come over the C-rail.
