T-MAX ATW PRO 2500, 12V, Syntetic Rope

The two ATV and quad winches 2500 and 3500 from the ATW Pro Series are the smallest winches from T-MAX, but they are still powerful and use the latest technology. They are a complete in-house development by T-MAX and not, as is often the case in this market segment, third-party products.

The winches can be supplied with a steel cable and pulley cable window or with a high-quality Dyneema® plastic cable and aluminum cable window. It is operated via cable remote control, which can be easily attached to the handlebars thanks to the bracket supplied. A convenient wireless remote control can be retrofitted as an option.

In contrast to the "big" winches, these winches are driven by a compact and powerful permanent magnet DC motor. That means the stator magnetic field is generated by permanent magnets. This has the advantage that no electrical energy is required to generate the magnetic field. This is very advantageous, especially for small quads with less powerful alternators and small batteries. Permanent magnet motors are often dismissed as simple or cheap, but they are superior to series-wound motors in terms of efficiency, especially in the case of motors with low power, and are also smaller in size.

Inside the winch is the latest innovative technology that makes the outstanding performance of the ATW Pro Series winches possible in the first place. A torque limiter protects the winch against overload and the risk of rope breakage with dangerous rope tangles, especially in winches with steel ropes.

Mechanics and gears are fully sealed for durability and low maintenance. Roller bearings ensure smooth running, which is immediately noticeable during manual unwinding. The newly developed freewheel clutch can be operated by turning the right yellow end cap.

The newly developed and patented brake system EBT (Eccentric Block Type) prevents the cable drum from heating up when winching. This means that the Dyneema synthetic rope, which is sensitive to overheating, can also be used with the winch.

Dyneema® winch ropes are made from the strongest fiber SK-75. Due to the special attachment, the winch can still be used with the specified maximum pulling force with only one winding on the drum. The polished aluminum fairlead (AFL) fairlead prevents the plastic rope from fraying.

The winch is controlled by a compact relay with a maximum load of 500 amps. Silver plated relay contacts reduce contact resistance, voltage losses and temperature.

To mount the winch, it comes with a universal mounting plate.

T-MAX ATW Pro Series 2500

The ATW Pro 2500 is equipped with a 0.8 horsepower permanent magnet motor and has a pull force of 1,134 kg (2,500 pounds). The planetary gear has a ratio of 189:1. The maximum cable speed is 6.5 m/min. Size 344 x 105 x 116mm. Mounting dimensions 124 x 76 mm.
