Characteristics

Rain Cover

The roof tent is equipped with a rain cover, which is located at the back of the tent. In fine weather, this can be rolled up and fastened with Velcro without getting in the way. When it rains, it is attached to the sides with zips and tensioned with two poles.

Insulation

The insulation of the pop-up roof provides optimum protection against extreme temperatures and creates a pleasant indoor climate in all weather conditions. Thanks to the high-quality materials, the inside of the tent stays cool in the heat and warm in the cold, so you can sleep comfortably at any time of year.

Robust Material

The new roll-formed aluminium roof impresses with its high resistance and robustness. The lifting roof for the INEOS Grenadier combines modern design with practical functionality and offers the usual outstanding quality of Alu-Cab products.

Tent Fabric

Riptech™ canvas has been perfected through decades of testing in the harshest environments of Africa and Australia. Originally developed for military use, it is now the favourite tent fabric of adventurers and luxury game lodges worldwide.

Details

The buckles have been rotated to save space. However, the aluminium cab logo will be positioned correctly again in the final version.

The new Silenus roof conversion is relatively low at the front, but gets higher towards the rear.

The classic Alu-Cab logo adorns the sides of the roof tent.

The grenadier's original mounting bars are retained and offer the option of attaching a wide range of equipment.

The new roof of the Grenadier can be folded up with the aid of dampers.

Thanks to the hinged roof, the Grenadier now offers plenty of space inside.

The original controls are of course retained, as only the rear part of the roof has been cut open.

The two new roof flaps were attached to the roof of the vehicle with hinges.

fastening options

There are four Molle plates on the roof, each screwed to the corners. These allow you to mount additional equipment on the roof easily and securely.

Additional brackets with a T-slot are also fitted to securely attach accessories such as an awning.

You can fit additional Molle plates to the rear side windows, which are attached to the upper retaining bars and to the aluminium rail under the window.

Assembly

The installation of the lifting roof is well thought-out and user-friendly. The rear seat bench and the associated protective grille must be removed before installation. The first part of the roof above the front seats remains in place. Only the roof above the rear seats is cut open. This means that all the important controls such as buttons and switches remain in their usual position.

Firstly, the plastic rails on the roof and the side fastening rods must be removed. However, these can be refitted later.

Once a sufficiently large hole has been cut in the roof, the new lifting roof can be fitted. The roof is then fixed in place and carefully glued and sealed. Finally, the panelling is cut to size and refitted to achieve a clean end result.

Greek myths tell of Silenus, a cheerful drunkard and companion of the god of wine Dionysus. Although he is often depicted as an old satyr with a belly full of wine, Silenus is said to have been surprisingly wise. He combined his love of partying with deep knowledge and taught Dionysus the pleasures of life, such as music, dance and, of course, wine. Silenus epitomised the idea of enjoying the simple pleasures of life and indulging in a little pleasure. Who better to represent Alu-Cab's latest roof conversion for a simple, functionally designed vehicle conceived in Sir Jim Ratcliff's favourite pub?
