Out of passion for nature and as a passionate off-roader, Jeremy Bergh founded Alu-Cab in Cape Town, South Africa in 2000. After years of experience with impractical hardtops in the service industry, he wanted to produce a practical and easy to use hardtop. Today Alu-Cab stands for many high quality aluminium vehicle tops for commercial use, offroad and adventure. In addition to the hardtops produced in series, Alu-Cab also builds individual, fully equipped expedition and travel vehicles according to customer requirements. And this in any size, from jeeps to Unimogs to large trucks. Vehicles with products from Alu-Cab are on the road on all tracks in Africa and confirm the excellent reputation of the brand. This is not the only reason why almost all major rental companies of four-wheel drive camping vehicles in southern Africa rely on Alu-Cab.
The Alu-Cab roof tent is one of the best hard shell roof tents on the market. Made entirely of aluminium, it withstands even the toughest loads and can be opened and closed again in no time at all. The tent is 2.3m long, 1.4m wide and weighs 88. A comfortable interior height of 1.6m, LED lights and USB plugs make this tent a comfortable place to sleep.
The Alu-Cab 270° awning is stronger, lighter and easier to handle than other awnings on the market. It is so well constructed that it can be set up very quickly and easily stowed away again. When unfolded, the awning covers an area of approx. 10m². It covers the side and rear of a vehicle and protects against sun and rain. When closed, it is 2.60 m long and weighs approx. 25 kg.

Alu-Cab's heavy-duty hardtops are unique on the market in many ways. The Alu-Cab Canopy Camper is the optimal combination of a stable aluminum hardtop and a spacious roof tent that is accessible from the inside. The "AC20" version of the Canopy Camper was developed to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Alu-Cab and, with two mounted multifunctional panels, a left awning, the pocket systems in the interior and integrated LED lighting, offers optimal solutions for a perfect and travel-ready camper.
The Khaya demountable cabin is available in two configurations. Fully equipped in the "Comfort" version or with two additional beds in the "Family" version. The “Family” is the family version of the Khaya Camper. Designed for trips with up to four people, it differs only in the interior design from the comfort version.
